Jugu means ‘mountain’ in our people's Naxi language which has one of the few surviving pictographic forms of writing remaining in the world. Our logo is based on this symbol.

In this Eastern Himalayan region, the indigo plant is indigenous to the area and the traditional techniques of tie-dye, shibori and batik are widely used. Jugu works with local women to inspire and create beauty using traditional patterns in contemporary ways.
